HOW IT WORKS

Startup ventures usually face considerably more challenges when it comes to capitalization than do existing businesses. The strength of ICR is in our ability to address the needs of early stage, high growth, and large impact businesses. Deals ultimately are closed between business owners and capital sources with assistance as necessary from the ICR team. The process for requesting assistance from ICR and some of the documentation required to be considered for funding is listed below. It is not uncommon for capital sources to require special information. ICR will assist with coordination and communication throughout the process. Basic steps to request assistance from ICR:

Step 1. Complete and submit a business profile (see Forms) that is a platform for you to provide an overview of your business. This will initiate correspondence (usually phone or email) with an ICR team member. Information provided on your profile will be reviewed and clarified with you. Within a few days, all ICR team members will review your profile to determine the likelihood of ICR successfully developing a capitalization strategy for your business. The profile is also a starting point for any remediation in positioning your venture for presentation to capital sources.

Step 2. Larger requests (usually in excess of $250K) likely will require you to submit additional documentation required by capital (see Forms). Prepare yourself to submit considerable paperwork! It is necessary to make the strongest case possible to justify your request and to mitigate as much risk as possible for our capital clients. DO NOT EXPECT THIS TO BE A QUICK PROCESS.

Step 3. Submit applicable materials and application fees as instructed to ICR. Larger and/or more complex funding requests will be reviewed for completeness prior to submission to one or more capital sources. This review insures that a quality package is presented to potential capital sources. Remember, ICR becomes part of your team and we are working with you for successful capitalization. Everything we do is focused on accomplishing that end as efficiently as possible.

Step 4. All materials are submitted to appropriate capital sources for their final due diligence and decision. Discussions commonly include capital sources, business owners and members of the ICR team. ICR continues to assist businesses to insure capitalization occurs or until all strategies have been exhausted or owners decide to terminate their request.

All fees to ICR associated with linking businesses with capital will be fully disclosed. In addition, some services associated with preparing your business venture will fall under consulting arrangements with individual team members. All such arrangements will be agreed upon after open disclosure and discussion between appropriate parties.
